Now if the goal of the test (in the teachers mind, and students, and the parents too), was that; “ERRORS Are An Opportunity to Learn” then when given the Tree as a test the purpose and goal of all would be the same; to learn. We would then learn some can climb it, some can push it over, some can fly over it, etc. would be the point of giving the test and of taking it. A reward/ punishment matrix is used in our schools that is made of Gold-Stars/A’s/Carrots and Sticks/F’s/Detention/Expulsion/No-Sports. Educators use a pyramid grading and rating rule system to monitor each child’s performance and also to grade each infraction with (i.e.; a 3-step process is suggested and happens to be easy to remember.).
